Residential Camp a resounding success
Almost 100 participants enjoyed a great spell at Barnard Castle School at the end of August, as the Falcons Community Foundation ran its annual Residential Camp with five fun-filled days of high intensity rugby training.
Over the course of the camp, participants benefited from coaching by Falcons Community Foundation coaches to improve all aspects of their rugby performances.
Monday afternoon was a crash course in the format of the week upcoming, with fitness tests and explanation by the coaches of expectations for the week ahead.
Tuesday morning saw the arrival of Newcastle Falcons academy coaches James Ponton and Aiden McNulty to put the boys through their paces in the morning, before Adam Brocklebank, Ryan Burrows, Zach Kibirigie, Sean Robinson, Craig Willis and Glen Young led a series of sessions focusing on position specific skills.
The camp continued through to the Friday lunchtime, with all participants heading into their season’s having enjoyed the experience.
