Tuesday 30 December 2014 Written by: Adam

Kane Thompson was today suspended for one week after pleading guilty to a charge of Striking, contrary to Law 10.4(a) at an RFU Disciplinary Hearing.

The charge, brought by citing commissioner Andy Blyth following a complaint received from Saracens, related to a punch thrown during the Aviva Premiership Round 11 match at Kingston Park on Saturday 27th December 2014.

The case was heard this morning by a panel chaired by Antony Davies. The panel’s written judgement will be published in due course.

Thompson is therefore free to play again on Tuesday 6th January 2015.
