Next Friday Kingston Park will play host to one of the biggest school rugby matches in the North East when Newcastle’s RGS take on Durham (ko 7pm).

Both schools boast a strong rugby heritage and list a number of current and former Falcons among their past pupils, including current club captain Will Welch (RGS) and current Leicester Tigers captain Geoff Parling (Durham), and Friday’s game is sure to be another exciting encounter featuring a number of the region’s future rugby stars.

Next Friday will mark the second time Newcastle Falcons has hosted this game, although the first on Kingston Park’s new artificial 3G pitch.

Newcastle Falcons Community Foundation Director Melanie Magee said: “Last time RGS vs Durham was played at Kingston Park the game was very well supported by our fans and we’re hoping to see the same level of support again next Friday.

“It’s always exciting to host games of such magnitude but even more so now because of our new playing surface. The 3G pitch enables us to host more of these games and hopefully give young people the opportunity to play in a stadium environment in front of what we hope will be an impressive crowd.”

Tickets for the game are available online or from the Falcons’ 24 hour Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060 priced at only £10 for adults and £5 for juniors.

Newcastle Falcons Season Ticket Holders can come along to the game free of charge with proof of entitlement. However please bear in mind that seating will be unreserved for this game, meaning that regular seats cannot be guaranteed.
