RICHARDS EXPECTS STERN TEST
Speaking to Falcons TV the Falcons boss believes Nottingham will be an interesting proposition for his troops.
> Nottingham will be a tough game for us, and they are a quality side
> with a huge amount of strength in depth and a well-balanced side, so
> they will challenge us in some key areas,”
“The two-week break has given us a chance to reflect on the Bedford game, and look at how we can put things right.
“In some respects it almost sounds as if we lost, but we won the game albeit in the final minute with the Noah Cato try,” he added.
Revealing that Gloucester-bound James Hudson sits out tonight’s game with a thigh injury, Richards took the opportunity to pay tribute to the talented lock.
He said: “James [Hudson] has been a fantastic servant, and in terms of the lineout he is as good as any in that department – he will be sadly missed.
As the re-launch of Falcons TV gets into full flow, one video that has caught the eye of rugby fans across the world is Jamie Helleur’s freak try against Bedford a fortnight ago.
Closing in on 45,000 YouTube hits, Richards admits it is a spectacle that will not be replicated again.
“I’ve seen it on YouTube, and in fact the kids have been playing it on their laptops – it’s one of those things that you probably won’t see again, and it was one of those freak moments.”
