Robinson and McGuigan in England training squad

Uncapped hooker McGuigan spent last week in Jersey with the England squad as they ready themselves for the Twickenham clash.

The 29-year-old has played 161 times for the Falcons, scoring 46 tries, with this season seeing five touch-downs in his six first-team games.

Back-five forward Robinson, also uncapped, has been brought into the squad for the first time since the end of the 2020-21 season, when he was part of a training squad ahead of the June tests only to suffer a knee injury on his first day in camp.

Robinson, 31, has made 132 appearances for the Falcons, with the Durham University graduate scoring 13 tries during that time.

England will face an Argentina squad containing a trio of Newcastle Falcons players, with winger Mateo Carreras joining centres Matias Orlando and Matias Moroni in Los Pumas’ training squad.

The Twickenham clash is a 2.15pm kick-off and is live in the UK on Prime Video.
