Sale another massive Aviva Premiership game – Young

Michael Young is relishing the return of Aviva Premiership Rugby this weekend, as the Falcons take to the road to face nearest neighbours Sale Sharks on Saturday afternoon.

Following a productive fortnight in the European Rugby Challenge Cup, in which the Falcons took a losing bonus point from their match away to Brive and a full five from their nine try dismantling of Enisei STM, it is now for the team to repeat that form in the league.

Speaking to Falcons TV, Young said: “It’s another massive game for us. We’ve set our stall out of what we want to achieve and we have got to make sure we go through our processes this week and do everything we have set out to do in order to get that win.”

Subject to selection, the match throws up the prospect of Young facing off against a pair of British and Irish Lions in the form of Chris Cusiter and Peter Stringer.
While people on the outside may see this as an added element of intrigue and interest, it holds not additional sway for Young.

“They are both very good player, great players in fact, seasoned internationals but it’s not about me versus them, its Falcons versus Sale. As far as I am concerned it’s a team against a team and we just need to make sure that we come out the end on the right side.”
