Season ticket members sponsor Goneva in 17/18
Newcastle Falcons season ticket members will be the player sponsor of Vereniki Goneva in season 2017/18, following a poll of members as one of the compensatory offers following the switch of the game against Saracens to Philadelphia.
The Fijian flyer was the most popular player of those offered to fans that opted to club together and put their compensation toward supporting a member of the Falcons squad, garnering 79% of the total vote.
Goneva’s biography on the club’s website and in the matchday programmes will now acknowledge that support, while the members who opted for this compensation option will be entered into ballots to decide who takes up other elements of the player sponsorship package.
Offering two different levels, player sponsorships at Newcastle Falcons provide organisations with the chance to build an association between themselves and their chosen player.
Both silver and gold packages afford branding opportunities within the Newcastle Falcons match programme, website and stadium big screen, PA announcements when sponsored players score, along with tickets to attend a match at Kingston Park and an exclusive player sponsor event.
In addition, gold packages offer the opportunity for up to 10 people to attend a game in the club’s award-winning hospitality suites as part of the 100 Club package and for further advertising opportunities with crowd facing boards along the West Stand touchline.
Residential developer Taylor Wimpey and safety experts Arco are among the organisations already making use of this association, while individuals are also welcome to forge closer links with their chosen player, as Mr & Mrs J. Stewart and Mr M Wright do.
With player sponsorship packages remaining available for stars like Calum Green, Chris Harris and Scott Lawson, significant opportunities are available to allow companies to affiliate themselves with the Falcons success this season.
