The Singha Premiership Rugby 7s returns to the North East this summer with Newcastle Falcons’ Kingston Park Stadium confirmed as host venue for the Group C pool stage on July 30.

It is the third year in succession that the competition has held a round in the region, with the Falcons set to face Leicester Tigers, Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors.

With a proud record of winning every group stage they have contested, Falcons fans can expect to see an exciting afternoon of the fastest form of rugby. Now into its eighth year, the tournament is the only 7s competition in which all 12 Aviva Premiership Rugby clubs and the four Welsh professional regions take part.

In addition to Kingston Park Stadium, 2016 will see rounds staged at Exeter Chiefs’ Sandy Park, Northampton Saints’ Franklins Gardens, with the series finals night held at Wasps’ Ricoh Arena.

Newcastle Falcons’ managing director Mick Hogan said: “We’re delighted to play host to the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s for the third year running and are really looking forward to seeing Kingston Park host an exciting summer’s afternoon of rugby.

“We had a fantastic event last summer and hosting the event gives us a chance to defend our excellent sevens record over the years. We will also be encouraging newcomers to try rugby for the first time with a number of different promotional offers which will be unveiled over the next few weeks. Central to these will be the opportunity for season ticket members to bring a friend along free of charge and experience the excitement and party atmosphere of Sevens Rugby.”

Tickets for the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s are now on sale priced £20 for premium adult seating and £10 for standard seating and terracing. 2016/17 season ticket members are able to claim two complimentary tickets for the same area of the stadium that they hold a season ticket for, and can purchase additional tickets on a two-for-one offer. Please note that complimentary tickets need to be claimed by May 31 and will not automatically be issued to members

As a special end of season sale, this buy-one-get-one-free promotion will be extended on Saturday to all supporters, purchasing tickets at the stadium box office after the match against Sale Sharks. As part of the club’s ongoing commitment to welcoming the next generation of supporters to Kingston Park, all under-16 tickets are priced at £5.
