Speed Up Your Summer With Sevens
On Saturday 22nd August the speed of sevens will return to the North East as Round C of the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s arrives at Kingston Park Stadium.
As any rugby fan knows, sevens is a fast-paced and thrilling game, and with the Falcons taking on teams from Leicester Tigers, Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors, this event looks set to be an exciting one.
Now in its fifth year, Newcastle Falcons have a strong record in the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s, having made in to the finals of every competition in which they’ve competed.
Last year’s competition was a particularly strong one for the club, with Sevens stand outs such as Chris Harris and Simon Hammersley going on to make an impact in the top flight of the 15s game throughout the season, and Falcons’ Man of the Round Tom Catterick receiving a call up to the England 7s set up just a few months later.
With Falcons Academy prospect Zach Kibirige having since represented his country in the shortened form of the game, and England 7s star Marcus Watson having made the move back to 15s rugby in signing for the North East side, the club will be keen to continue their strong run in the competition as they aim to book a place at the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s Series Final the following weekend at Twickenham Stoop.
Round C of the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s will take place at Kingston Park Stadium on Saturday 22nd August (ko 4pm). Tickets for the event are available to buy now [online][1], in person from the Kingston Park Stadium Box Office or by calling the Falcons’ 24 hour Ticket Hotline on 0871 226 6060, priced at just £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s.
A ticket to the Singha Premiership Rugby 7s is included in the Falcons’ 2015/16 Season Ticket Membership package, but these tickets to this event must be claimed separately prior to the day of the event. Please contact the club’s Ticket Office for more information.
