Spreadbury guests at Supporters Club talk in
The RFU’s head of professional game match officials Tony Spreadbury will be the guest of the Newcastle Falcons Supporters Club latest talk in on January 23rd, with the former international referee taking questions and giving an insight into the men in the middle.
Following on from a successful evening last year, when current official Ian Tempest gave his view on games and what goes on between, the talk in will be hosted in the 1877 Bar from 7:00 pm
Free to enter for supporters club members, non-members are also welcome to attend at a cost of £5 and hear from Spreadbury, who officiated over 40 international tests in a twenty-year career as a referee.
Renowned for his communication with players on the field, “Spreaders” attendance offers a rare opportunity to supporters to learn more about the demands faced by referees and assistant referees over the course of a season.
