St James’ Park shirt raffle and auction
The black and white striped shirts were worn by the team during their 25-22 Aviva Premiership victory over Northampton Saints, played in front of a club record crowd of 30,174.
These pieces of Falcons history can now be yours with all proceeds from the raffle and auction, minus production costs, going to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. The foundation, set up following the Motor Neurone Disease diagnosis of Newcastle Falcons legend Doddie Weir, is committed to researching and raising awareness of the currently incurable condition.
A raffle has been set up for all supporters to stand a chance of winning the match shirt worn by hooker Kyle Cooper during the game.
Tickets are £1 each, and supporters can buy as many as they wish once they go on sale on Thursday March 29. Tickets will be on sale in the East Stand club shop every day during opening hours, and also from the West Stand club shop on match days. Supporters unable to get to the stadium can buy their tickets by calling 0871 226 6060.
Raffle tickets will be on sale until half-time in the home game against Sale Sharks on Friday April 13. The winner will then be drawn after the match in the 1877 Bar.
Another way to get your hands on genuine match-worn shirts from the game is via our series of auctions.
Will Welch’s man-of-the-match shirt has already been allocated to the Foundation Flutter, which was drawn at Saturday’s game, while Vereniki Goneva’s match shirt is being held back for the end-of-season dinner, where it will be auctioned off.
The other match shirts will be auctioned via ebay, with the first batch available now. Please click below for the individual online auctions, each shirt carrying a reserve of £100.
