Newcastle Falcons host Saracens in Round 7 of the Gallagher Premiership.

NEWCASTLE FALCONS

Newcastle Falcons have won their last three first team matches, all in the Premiership Rugby Cup, whilst their most recent win in Gallagher Premiership Rugby was 24-18 at home to Exeter in Round 5.

The Falcons have won their last three home games in all competitions and have not won four in succession at Kingston Park since they were in the RFU Championship in 2020.

Callum Chick leads the Falcons with 177 metres carried this season. Chick is the only forward who leads their squad for metres made.

The Falcons are the only side with a goal kicking success rate of more than 90%. They have kicked 11 of their 12 attempts at goal (91.7%).

The Falcons’ opponents have won just 78.8% of their scrums, making theirs the best defensive scrum in the Premiership.

SARACENS

Saracens have lost two of their last three Gallagher Premiership Rugby matches, away at Harlequins and at home to Leicester.

Saracens two away wins this season were at Gloucester in Round 1 and at Bristol in Round 5.

In Round 6, Tim Swiel marked his Saracens’ debut with a round high 14 points scored, including five from a try.

Tom Willis leads the league with 42 defenders beaten and 114 carries; he is the only player who has made more than 100 carries this season.

Tobias Elliot has made the second-most metres in the Premiership (390). He is the only player in the top five who has made fewer than 40 carries.
