Successful residential camp at Barnard Castle School

Newcastle players were in attendance on the Wednesday including Harrison Orr, Tom Penny, Sean Robinson, Sam Lockwood, Ally Hogg, Scott Wilson, Sonatane Takulua and Adam Brocklebank.

Falcons academy coaches James Ponton and Aiden McNulty were in attendance later in the week, with participants enjoying an intensive programme of rugby skills and drills.

Awards for the week included star of the camp for most improved or consistently good performances through training and games (Gregory Baines), and Spriit of rugby, awarded to the player who had the best attitude both on pitch and off field (Alexander Burr).

Participants enjoyed a great week which also included swimming. dodgeball, five-a-side football and Olympic coverage during their down time.

The next Falcons Development Day is pre-match ahead of the Aviva Premiership visit of Sale Sharks on Friday September 2, and will see Nili Latu plus Falcons Community Foundation coaches put boys and girls aged 12-16 through their paces.
