Summer of Touch 2022
Newcastle Rugby is calling everyone aged 16 or over, males and females, young and old, to get involved in our Summer of Touch league, starting on Wednesday June 15.
Open to players of all abilities, touch rugby is a fast, exciting, enjoyable, non-contact form of the game, and a great way to get fit in the summer evenings while spending time with your friends.
The eight-week league will run every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm until 9.30pm from June 15 through to the finals evening on the August 3.
Each team will play a minimum of two fixtures, and a maximum of four fixtures each Wednesday. Squads are up to 12 players, six-a-side, with a maximum of four males on the field for each team at any one time.
Entries, priced at £280 for the entire summer, are now open by [**clicking here**][1], with games being held at Kingston Park Stadium and surrounding pitches.
We will also have a number of other touch rugby events over the summer and October period.
This summer we will be running a touch rugby event around the Super League Magic Weekend and Newcastle Thunder’s Magic Friday fixture against Bradford Bulls. To sign up your team, please contact community@newcastle-thunder.co.uk .
In October we will be hosting the Squads on the Tyne festival on the October 14, the night before the Rugby League World Cup’s opening fixture, and your team can join in the fun!
