Thursday 15 May 2014 Written by: Adam

The talented full-back, 26, who has been in sublime form this campaign, picked up the Players’ Player of the Season gong and the Ken Lockerbie Trophy. It capped off an impressive year for Tait, who along with fellow Aviva Premiership No.15’s Mike Brown, Chris Pennell and Ben Foden, has been in fine fettle.

The Player of the Season accolade went to Mark Wilson, with the former Northumbria University student showing consistency throughout the season, while George McGuigan was named Academy Player of the Year, an award that Wilson received in 2011.

Meanwhile, Kingsley Hyland was named Clubman of the Year for his work as a referee’s liaison on a match day as well as his role as a disciplinary advisor.

Falcons icon Tane Tu’ipulotu collected the Community Player of the Season award, having already been nominated nationally for the Aviva Premiership Community Player of the Season prize.

And finally, Sinoti Sinoti’s try against Saracens at Kingston Park last month was named Try of the Season and supporters will be relishing him in action next term.

Hosted by Sky Sports News presenter Pete Graves, the black tie event proved a huge success with more than 300 people present for the glitzy ceremony on Tyneside which raised more than £5,000 for the Falcons Community Foundation.
