Last night saw the exclusive launch night of the Tap & Tackle, Kingston Park Stadium’s brand new East Stand bar and coffee shop.

Members of the Falcons and Newcastle Thunder playing and coaching squads were on hand for an exclusive look at the new bar alongside fans, sponsors, staff and members of the local media the night before it’s general public opening.

At lunchtime today members of the public will be able to get their own first glimpse of the newly re-fitted East Stand bar.

The Tap & Tackle will be open to the general public seven days a week serving a range of light bites alongside coffees, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

The bar will also be offering two special opening offers available up to and including Sunday 19th April (with the exception of on Falcons or Thunder match days from two hours before ko).

Until that date anyone producing a Falcons or Thunder season or match day ticket will be able to claim a free medium hot drink with any cake or sandwich purchased, while all bar guests will be able to enjoy two free jars of bar snacks with every bottle of wine purchased.

The Tap & Tackle will be open today in the build up to Newcastle Thunder’s match against Barrow Raiders (ko 3pm) although any bar guests wishing to watch that game will be asked to move over to the West Stand to take their seats for the match.

The bar will then be open again on Saturday complete with a live screening of the Falcons’ European Rugby Challenge Cup Quarter Final against Exeter (ko 8pm), with light bites and drinks served throughout the day and into the evening.
