Team news: Wilson returns against Edinburgh
Winning his first two international caps in England’s 2-0 series win in Argentina back in June, Wilson returns at blind-side flanker for a Falcons side who have beaten Doncaster Knights (31-8), Nottingham (49-19) and Rotherham Titans (59-14).
Newcastle were 26-21 winners when they last met Edinburgh at the same stage last season, and go into the Melrose clash with Will Welch once again captaining the side from the open-side flank.
Nili Latu completes the back row, Scotsman Jon Welsh packing down at tight-head prop in a forward pack which sees former Jedforest man Glen Young returning to his homeland.
Sonatane Takulua and Toby Flood form the half-back partnership for the second week in succession, Juan Pablo Socino paired with Chris Harris in the centres.
Scotsmen Ally Hogg and Scott Lawson are both included on a 12-man bench which also sees a place for Josh Matavesi, the Fijian international centre who joined from Ospreys over the summer.
Tickets for the match are priced £10 adults and £5 concessions from the Melrose club office, or online by [**clicking here**][1]. Free parking is offered at Melrose’s Annay Road pitches.
