TEMM TACKLING STEP UP IN LV= CUP

Dan Temm put in another impressive performance last weekend as he made his second start of the season against Northampton Saints in the LV= Cup as the 23 year old continues his rugby development.

Dual registered with Tynedale for 2014/2015, Temm has made three appearances to date this season during the current break in Aviva Premiership action and is finding the experience is helping with his development as a professional player.

Speaking post match at Saints, Temm said: “It’s been a good couple of weeks and today has been a great experience, Franklins Gardens is one of those places that you want to come and play and when they are booing you down in the corner at a lineout, it’s a little bit louder than at Tynedale!

“The game is a lot quicker at this level, it’s easier to make the line-breaks in National 1, but the last few weeks, with the LV and the European Cups have been really enjoyable and I think they have really progressed in terms of learning about the game at this level.”

Reflecting on his side’s first loss since late September, Temm says there are a number of things to work on both as a team and as an individual to ensure the club bounce back against Cardiff on Friday.

“On the whole, I think I did ok against Saints, you can always do better and I gave away a few penalties which I need to be cut out.”

“As a team, we need to pay attention to our discipline, we were giving away a few penalties which were giving Saints some soft meters, which was putting us on the back foot. Had we been able to get up and stop them making those carries, it could have changed the game. We were gutted we couldn’t convert our chances to get the result and make it five wins on the bounce.”

The Falcons LV= Cup campaign continues this Friday against Cardiff Blues. Kick-off is at 8pm with tickets available by clicking [here][1] calling 0871 226 6060 or visiting the Kingston Park box office during office hours.
