Well look no further, we have plenty of reasons why you should support the Falcons as they look to make their mark on English Rugby’s top flight. In fact, we have at least 26 of them!

Without further ado, we present to you the A to Z of why you should buy a 2013-14 Season Ticket at the Falcons:

**Academy** The Falcons Academy, which has produced stars as British and Irish Lion Geoff Parling and England internationals Toby Flood and Matthew Tait in recent years and continues to bring through a wealth of new talent, with current players including England under-20 prop Scott Wilson and promising school boy Zach Kibirige.

**The bars** The Falcons West Stand concourse bar is the longest in European rugby… possibly in Europe overall, and serves our famous double pinters! And remember, as a Season Ticket Holder, you’ll also have access to our exclusive Season Ticket Holders’ bar on a match day, including free food, reduced price drinks and regular appearances from Falcons players and our director of rugby Dean Richards.

**Champions** Did we mention we won the RFU Championship last season? Having won all but two games of what seemed like the longest season on record, the Falcons finally secured promotion back to the Premiership on 29 May, with a 31-24 (49-33 aggregate) win over Bedford Blues in the play-off final!

**Dean Richards** Our director of rugby is not only a legend of the English game but also has a proven track record in rugby management. Here at the Falcons he’s backed up by a world-class coaching team from around the world including head coach Peter Russell, forwards coach John Wells, defence coach Graham Steadman, skills coach Callum McRae and scrum coach and Falcons legend Micky Ward.

**Exclusive events** As a Season Ticket Holder with the Falcons you will be invited to at least two exclusive events throughout the season, including a pre-season meet and greet with the first team squad, director of rugby and coaching squad, and at least one Season Ticket Holders’ forum to give us your views on how we’re doing at the club.

**Family atmosphere** With home and away fans mixing happily together and face painters, magicians and other family activities taking place before most of our home games, a trip to the Falcons is a great day out for all of the family. Younger fans are also encouraged to join our Junior Supporters Club, the Flock free of charge, which offers discounted tickets for members and invitations to exclusive events hosted by our club mascot, Flash the Falcon

**Grassroots rugby** The club and our community foundation work closely with local schools and rugby clubs to help build the sport, and the discipline that it’s famed for, throughout the North East

**History** In 1995 when the Falcons turned pro we were the first professional rugby club in England. And let’s not forget we were also the home club of a certain Mr Jonny Wilkinson when he kicked the drop goal that won England the Rugby World Cup in 2003! And former Falcons are now spread throughout the top flight of UK and European rugby and hold a number of high profile positions throughout world rugby.

**International rugby** Last season Kingston Park played host to the Tonga national side and to England Saxons for their match against Scotland’s A side, and we’re already working on trying to bring more exciting showcase games to the North in future.

**Junior Season Tickets** Do you know a young rugby fan? Under 16s who also play for one of the region’s rugby clubs can receive a free 2013-14 Season Ticket with one paying adult. And even if your youngster doesn’t play, sign them up as a member of our Junior Supporters Club the Flock and get their Season Ticket plus up to four other junior Season Tickets for only £100 each with one paying adult!

**Kingston Park** The home of rugby in the North, our stadium is right off the A1 with ample parking and is only a short Metro journey from the East Coast main line. As proved during the recent play-off final, the match day atmosphere at KP can be absolutely electric! On the pitch too Kingston Park is famous, and is renowned throughout domestic rugby as being one of the hardest grounds to come to and win at!

**Local lads playing for a North East team** Although we play host to a number of internationals from around the world, many of the Falcons team are home grown players that are passionate about playing for their local club. Club captain Will Welch is from Newcastle, Sean Tomes is a Gateshead lad, Mark Wilson is from Cumbria and Oliver Tomaczyk – commonly known as The Hawk – is from Hexham.

**Mean defence** The Falcons’ defence last season was pretty impenetrable; in fact during 2012-13, the team maintained the best defence in Europe!

**Noise** South Stand terrace is famed for its fantastic atmosphere and very vocal support of the club! And the songs aren’t too difficult to join in with… As long as you can master ‘Faaaaalcons’ and local anthem ‘The Blaydon Races’ then you’ll fit right in!

**Our Supporters Club** Not only are they a friendly bunch who organise some fantastic parties and player talk in sessions, but the Falcons independent Supporters Club also arrange reasonably priced and very popular trips to many of the team’s away fixtures throughout the season. **Professional, Premiership Rugby** The Falcons are the only professional rugby club between Edinburgh and Leeds, making our home at Kingston Park an outpost for rugby in the North. And now the club is back in the Premiership, you can look forward to welcoming top-flight rugby back to the region and welcoming some of the league’s biggest stars to Newcastle over the coming months!

**Quality signings** As the Falcons look ahead to next season we’ve already made a number of signings including British and Irish Lion Mike Blair, fellow Scotland internationals Phil Godman, Scott Lawson and Fraser McKenzie, England Saxon Andy Saull, Munster’s Danny Barns and returning Falcon Rory Clegg.

**Rugby World Cup** In 2015 the biggest competition in rugby, the World Cup, comes to town when three games will be played at St James Park (including world champions the All Blacks’ game against Tonga). What better time to get into the game and acquaint yourself with the local rugby scene in preparation?

**Standing terraces** Although our West and East stands also include ample seating for those who prefer to sit back and watch a game, our North, South and East terraces allow fans to watch sport as it was meant to be watched – standing on the terraces with a drink in hand!

**Teenage Cancer Trust**, our charity partners for the season ahead. The charity’s logo appeared on our playing shirts throughout the last month of the season with 50% of the profits from all replica shirts sold going directly to the charity. Over the course of 2013-14 we’ll continue to work with Teenage Cancer Trust, helping to raise funds and awareness of the work that they do while also working hard to help the organisation and the young people they work with.

**United Nations** We may have a core of local talent at the club, but Kingston Park is also home away from home to a host of talent from around the world. Carlo del Fava is an Italian international, by way of South Africa, Richard Mayhew and Ryan Shortland are New Zealanders, Tane Tu’ipultu is Tongan and Jamie Helleur is Samoan. And that’s not including our home nations stars; new signing Danny Barnes is an Ireland under 20s star (albeit born in New Zealand), Warren Fury is Welsh and Grant Shiells and player of the 2012-13 season Scott Macleod are just two of a host of Scotsmen preparing to ply their trade at Kingston Park during the new season!

**Vision and Values** At the start of 2012 we released our Vision and Values strategy for the way the club intends to operate both on and off the field. We remain committed to that strategy and our promise of providing fans with an unrivalled match day experience, but we need your help to do that.

**World rankings** Following the Falcons’ victory against Tonga last November the team is technically 10th in the world rankings, that’s better than Fiji and the USA and equal to Scotland!

**X-tra value** Buying a Season Ticket for 2013-14 will effectively guarantee you access to up to five games free of charge! Falcons Season Tickets cover a minimum of 17 home fixtures but equate to the cost of 12 games on average, meaning that as a Season Ticket Holder your entrance to up to five games will be completely free of charge!

**Young men (and ladies!)** There’s no denying that rugby is a popular sport amongst women, and there are no prizes for guessing why… Let’s just say it’s not always about the game! But here at the Falcons we try to cater for both male and female spectators, welcoming local cheerleading squads to support the team before kick-off and during half time at many of our games.

**Zach Kibirige** Having racked up four tries in only five appearances for the Falcons, Falcons Academy player of the season 2012-13 Zach is already being billed as a star of the future. And he’s not the only one, with other hot academy prospects including England U-20s prop Scott Wilson and Ireland U-20s hooker George McGuigan already creating a stir, the future looks bright for the Falcons.
