Open to everyone aged 16 or over, this fast, non-contact, six-a-side format of the game sees a minimum of one female and a maximum of four males on the field at any one time.

Open to players of all abilities, the Summer of Touch includes people who are new to rugby, with work colleagues and friendship groups more than welcome to join in the fun.

Centred around the ever-popular eight-week touch rugby league and finals evening, the Summer of Touch this season also includes development sessions prior to the league, with input from the England Touch Association.

There will be a number of training sessions throughout the summer, with the aim being to field Newcastle Rugby teams at various touch rugby competitions.

The eight-week league will run every Wednesday evening from June 9 through to finals evening on July 28, with a maximum squad size of 12. Each team will play a minimum of two fixtures every week, with food and drink available.

Entries, priced at £280 for the entire summer, are open now by [**clicking here**][1], with games being played at Bullocksteads sports ground. Parking and pitch access will be via Kingston Park Stadium (West Stand).

There will be a number of new guidelines in place to ensure the safe staging of the event, including sanitising, numbers per squad, spectators and changing facilities. These will be outlined upon confirmation of your entry.

Those interested in joining the development sessions prior to the start of the league, or representing Newcastle Rugby in various touch competitions, can [**click here**][2] to express their interest.
