We have been informed by Tyne and Wear Metro operator Nexus of their plans to complete repair and maintenance work throughout a large portion of the Metro line over the Easter weekend.

Fans travelling to Friday’s game on the Metro, particularly those coming from South of the Tyne, should be aware of potential disruption and are encouraged to allow extra time for travelling to Kingston Park.

Metro lines and stations between Gateshead Stadium, Hebburn and Brockley Whins will be closed from Friday 29th March until Monday 1st April although a replacement bus service will be in operation during this time.

Newcastle Falcons’ match against Jersey RFC kicks off at 5pm on Good Friday. Tickets are still available for this game and can be purchased online, from the Kingston Park club shop or by calling 0871 2266060.

More information about this weekend’s Metro line closure can be found on the Nexus website.
