Try no consolation for ‘disappointed’ Socino

The Argentina centre said: “The feeling among the players is disappointment, even though we showed so much good stuff out there.

“We were inaccurate at times when we didn’t need to be, we allowed Leicester back into the game through indiscipline and not managing to get back into shape.

“On the other side we played some good rugby, it is always nice to grab a try myself and from an attitude point of view there was a massive change from the Bath game.”

Keen to kick on at Gloucester on Saturday and to thank the Falcons’ faithful for their vocal backing, Socino added: “We were a lot more positive this week but it was still not good enough, and we know we can do better. We need to move on another step down at Gloucester next weekend.

“Kingston Park is a great place to play, I absolutely love it up here and our home crowd are amazing. We are so thankful to all our supporters for getting behind the team, it feels like an extra player at times and we need to make sure we perform better to reward the faith that they show in us every single week.”

Newcastle Falcons’ next home game is against Bristol on Saturday October 8 (kick-off 3pm). [**Click here**][1] or call 0871 226 6060 for tickets.
