VIDEO: Delany previews Nottingham opener
The 3pm kick-off at Darlington Mowden Park’s arena precedes the visit of Doncaster (August 13) and the trip to Edinburgh (August 26) before the Falcons start their Aviva Premiership campaign at home to Sale Sharks on September 2.
Speaking to Falcons TV, Delany said: “We have had a good pre-season with no interruptions like last year with the Rugby World Cup. It has been intense, and now the boys are just looking forward to playing some games.”
The former New Zealand All Black added: “For us it is just about controlling the controllables, getting some early momentum and sticking to our systems. That will enable us to control things, to do our jobs and be accountable. It’s an exciting time for the boys.”
