Newcastle will open up against Sale Sharks in what promises to be another enjoyable afternoon of sevens action – Worcester and Leicester completing the line-up.
Dawson and Marshall were involved in last year’s group victory and both seized the chance to impress as they not only represented England in the Youth Commonwealth Games in Samoa, but also made senior team debuts.
In Dawson’s case that came as a substitute away to Northampton Saints in round two of the Aviva Premiership and in front of over 20,000 fans at Stadium:MK, while for Marshall, a total of three appearances in the European Challenge Cup saw him play against Brive, Connacht and Enisei.
In the first Falcons TV interview of the summer the pair discuss last year’s sevens and look ahead to July 30.
