Newcastle Falcons winger Marcus Watson says the team will be looking to add some impetus to their Aviva Premiership Rugby campaign in tonight’s visit to Northampton Saints and build upon the solid foundations laid earlier in the season.
Having taken wins against Bristol, Gloucester and Sale so far this season, the Olympic silver medallist believes that the squad are in a better position that last season but insists that there is still work to do.
Speaking to Falcons TV, Watson said: “If we’re looking at where we are now compared to the start of last season, we are in a pretty good place but we are looking to build on that. We are not happy with where we are.
“We’d have liked to have picked up some points against Exeter, but we have another challenge against Northampton this week and we are going there to hopefully get a win.”
