Ward Hadaway Summer of Touch set for lift-off
Touch rugby is a fast and exciting non-contact form of the game which is open to both males and females, and is a fun way to keep fit on summer evenings. All levels of rugby experience are welcome, with a variety of touch rugby events scheduled over the summer.
**TOUCH IN THE PARK**
Held at Paddy Freeman Park on May 10, 17, 24 and 31, this pitch-up-and-play event is free for all players, with males and females of all ages welcome. Play starts from 6.30pm.
**TOUCH IN THE PARK FINAL SESSION**
A continuation of the Touch in the Park schedule, the final session will be held at Kingston Park Stadium, the home of Newcastle Falcons, on June 7 from 6.30pm with free entry for all players.
**FALCONS 8-WEEK TOUCH LEAGUE**
Held at Kingston Park Stadium over eight Wednesdays from June 14, this league is for teams of five and must contain one member of the opposite gender. Players must be aged 16 or above, with games from 6.30pm every round. Entry cost for the season is £260 per team. **TOUCH-TO-TACKLE**
This free event runs on August 9 at Kingston Park Stadium from 6.30pm, and is aimed at those considering getting back into rugby after a spell away from the game. For more information email gavin.beasley@newcastle-falcons.co.uk .
**BEACH TOUCH COMPETITION**
Held on Longsands Beach in Tynemouth on August 12, this beach touch tournament starts at 11am. Entry is £40 per team, but is free of charge for teams participating in the eight-week touch league.
