WardHadaway Summer of Touch returns
With summer just around the corner, the Falcons Community Foundation are getting set for another edition of their ever popular Touch Rugby competition throughout June and July.
Hosted at Kingston Park Stadium and getting underway from Wednesday June 6, the eight week long league is again being supported by the club’s legal partner WardHadway and is set to provide a fun way to get active.
A fun and friendly variation of rugby for both men and women of all abilities, Touch Rugby offers players an outlet to improve fitness, have a great time exercising as a group of peers, enjoy a game of rugby with friends or for a social gathering.
Open to male and female players of all abilities, the WardHadaway Summer of Touch culminates with a finals night on July 25, where teams will compete in a series of play-offs determined by their performance over the rest of the league to win various trophies and prizes.
Match squads are comprised of six players, two of who must be female, while there is no limit on the total number of players from which teams can draw the competitors from, with places costing £260 for a team for the full league.
Included in the entry fee is an end of tournament meal on finals night with entry open to, clubs businesses and wider groups of family and friends.
To encourage as many players as possible to join in the fun, there will also be a pitch up and play taster session on May 23 and 30 at Kingston Park for prospective players to sample the game before the tournament begins.
