Watson scores on England 7s return
Watson’s pursuit of a place in the Team GB squad for this summer’s Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro saw him recalled by England for last weekend’s HSBC London Sevens at Twickenham.
The 24-year-old dotted down the winning try in Saturday’s 10-7 victory over Australia, further wins over Wales (24-5) and Fiji (31-10) seeing them winning their group.
England bowed out of the Cup competition on Sunday after a 17-0 loss to eventual winners Scotland, and were eliminated from the Plate at the semi-final stage when New Zealand were 35-10 victors.
