Westoe RFC are currently blazing a trail in the quest to enjoy the Ultimate Rugby experience at Kingston Park as they sit proudly atop of the Club Connections leader board having sold over 150 match tickets this side of Christmas.

A new programme for season 2014/2015, Club Connections aims to engage local rugby clubs and forge stronger links between them and the Falcons than ever before, both on and off the pitch.

Hot on the leaders heels, are Houghton RFC on over 122 tickets with Ponteland also within striking distance of the end of season prize on over 116 tickets.

The leader at the end of the season will claim the Ultimate Rugby prize which will allow them to play a match at Kingston Park, using the stadium as their home ground for the day, including the changing rooms alongside other additions associated with a professional rugby club.

Head of Falcons Community Foundation Mel Magee said: “Club Connections has received a very enthusiastic response so far with festivals turnouts and ticket sales from the clubs being incredible.”

“We also have a great show of shirts from our local clubs now proudly displayed in the West Stand concourse and have supported a substantial number of the Christmas raffles at these clubs with signed memorabilia.”

The new Club Connections Programme compromises of forty two local clubs who have agreed to provide an Ambassador as the main point of contact for the Newcastle Falcons and drive support for the team by bringing club members to Aviva Premiership, European Rugby Challenge Cup and LV= Cup fixtures.
