What’s On: Military vs Cancer double-header
Kingston Park plays host to a Military vs Cancer double-header this Saturday June 22 (1pm & 3:15pm KOs) with the North of England Select XV and UK Army Forces RFC going head-to-head in both a men’s and women’s fixture.
From a feast of live rugby on the pitch to several activations off it, there’s plenty going on for all to enjoy.
Gates open at 12pm.
TICKETS
Our ticket office and club shop are located behind our East Stand and will be open from 10am on match day.
Tickets are still available to purchase for the fixture and you can secure your place for just £10 for adults and £5 for U16s.
Entry to the stadium is through turnstiles at the south west corner of the stadium.
For supporters who have claimed entry through ‘Tickets For Troops’, a Military vs Cancer and ticketing stall will be set up for collection in this location.
This also applies to any veterans’ tickets.

Please note: there are NO METROS running in either direction between Airport and South Gosforth. Replacement bus service 901 will be in operation, so please allow extra time to travel.
HOSPITALITY
For hospitality guests, your itinerary will be communicated to you by the Military vs Cance team. If you have any questions prior however, please contact david.bathgate387@mod.gov.uk.
Upon arrival, please head to the West Stand reception, where you will then be directed to your suite.
Hospitality opens from 12:30pm.
ENTERTAINMENT & ACTIVATIONS
Throughout the event and alongside thrilling action on the pitch, there is plenty of entertainment and activations taking place around the stadium bowl.
In the north east corner of the stadium (under the big screen) there will be four Army activations set up that includes a field gun and JCB.
In the north west corner of the stadium, where our usual fanzone is situated, the Navy will be running two activations including a simulator. There is also an opportunity to buy some Military vs Cancer merchandise.
Supporters will be able to find a separate Military vs Cancer merchandise stall inside the West Stand concourse as well as a branded trailer unit located upon entry to the stadium bowl.
FOOD & DRINK
The West Stand concourse will be the port of call for food for supporters, where our Falcons Fries and Chicken Shack kiosks will be open.
Supporters will also find the bar situated in this area for any of your drinks and refreshments needs.
We’ll be running two happy hours throughout the day from 12pm – 1pm and again between 5pm – 6pm, so be sure to take full advantage of any discounted offers on drinks.
KICK-OFF
North of England Select Women’s XV take on UK Armed Forces Women’s RFC is the first fixture of the day and kicks-off at 1pm.
North of England Select Men’s XV take on UK Armed Forces Men’s RFC is the second fixture of the day and kicks-off at 3:15pm.
HALF TIME
At half time during the Women’s fixture we’ll see some grassroots fixtures taking place on the main pitch, be sure to give all the players a huge cheer.
During half time for the men’s fixture, we will be drawing the winners of the Military vs Cancer raffle. Tickets can be purchased on the day from stalls throughout the stadium bowl. Prizes include:
- 2003 World cup montage incl. all programmes from the group games, semi-final and final. Signed by the likes of Martin Johnson, Lawrence Dallaglio and Matt Dawson.
- Match shirt.
- Training shirt.
- England shirt signed by Red Roses icon, Tamara Taylor.
- England shirt signed by Newcastle Falcons legend, Rob Vickers.
- 2 x Signed balls.
POST-MATCH ACTIVITIES
After the final whistle of each fixture, we will present trophies to the winning teams.
The party, however, doesn’t stop once both games have concluded.
Alongside the happy hour at our bar, we’ll also have a DJ and Karaoke taking place in the West Stand concourse, be sure to get involved and sign-off the event in style.
