2014/2015 WHAT’S ON BROCHURE LAUNCHED
An entertaining Ready Steady Cook! Competition between Newcastle Falcons and Gateshead Thunder launched the 2014/2015 What’s On brochure last night at Kingston Park.
The Rugby League side’s Jordan Meads and Matty Barron taking the win ahead of Falcons Ally Hogg and Andy Saull as they were voted the winner by the assembled audience.
Under the watchful eye of head chef Steve Welch, the teams cooked up a delicious seafood charlotte with julienne vegetables before Thunder provide a Banoffee Pie dessert and the Falcons created a fruit tart as the new season’s off field events were unvieled.
A major part of the Falcons off field activities, the new calendar of events looks to build on a successful programme in season 2013/2014 and provide opportunities to enjoy sumptuous food and drink and premier entertainment for complete evenings out.
Headline events during 2014/2015 will include an 80’s School Disco on October 4th, the return of the hugely successful Moth Ball on November 15th, and a Eurovision Party on May 15th while staple evenings including a full range of festive events also feature.
The new season programme also sees the return of the incredibly popular Gourmet Nights, with the first on September 12th already a sell out.
Falcons Conference and Events Director Jane Shepstone said: “After a successful year of events in 2013/2014 we have put together a calendar that we know our existing and potential guests will love.
“Using our award winning team and facilities, we have balanced firm favorites like Gourmet Nights with new themes and events that we hope will become part of the Newcastle and wider North East’s social calendar.”
“I am particularly looking forward to our new 80s night in October which we will be making a very special effort to ensure we get the feel good atmosphere going.”
