Newcastle Falcons have announced a side blending youth and experience as they travel to Worcester Warriors this evening for the penultimate fixture in their Aviva A League campaign.

Sitting top of the Northern Conference by points difference from this evening’s hosts, a win for the Falcons will see them qualify for the semi finals of the Premiership’s A team competition for the first time.

Among the established squad members lining up for the Falcons in the Midlands this evening are Rob Hawkins and Scott Macleod in the pack with Phil Godman and Lee Smith in the backs while some of the clubs best emerging talent also feature, including Andy Davies, Josh Hedley, Ben Morris and Tom Penny.

The Falcons A team will be keen to avenge their defeat to the Cavaliers in last year’s competition at Carlisle RFC and will be hopeful the free flowing rugby that has been a trademark of their campaign will see them through against a strong Worcester side.
