A Team squad announced to take on Saracens Storm

Making the knock out stages of the competition for the first time, the squad once again sees a blend of established first team regulars and emerging talent.

The Falcons booked their place to face Storm by virtue of a 35 – 13 win over Northampton Wanderers before Christmas and should they prevail against the side coached by Joe Shaw, will face the winners of Worcester Cavaliers v Bath United in the A league final.

Speaking ahead of the match, Academy Manager Mark Laycock said: “I’ve been really pleased with the performance from the lads throughout the campaign to date, there have been some really big performances throughout by the players and it has been a pleasure to watch so far.”

“I’d like to think they can go further and do well. It will be based on how they approach things that determines our progress. Each of them are great players with great skill sets, and when they play with a bit of ambition they are a really dangerous side.”
