The new-look PREM Next Gen Academy U18 league gets underway this Friday, although Newcastle Red Bulls U18s will have to wait until Round 2 to make their first appearance, with a bye in the opening round.

This season’s revamped format sees all 11 clubs competing in a single national league, with each team playing four home and four away fixtures.

Qualifying rounds will be held in August, October, January and February, leading up to the PREM Next Gen Finals Day on the weekend of February 21-22.

For the first time, the competition will also feature a Derby Weekend in Round 4 (January 3-4), mirroring the fierce rivalries of the Gallagher PREM and adding extra spice for both players and fans.

The Newcastle Red Bulls U18s will open their campaign with a home clash against Leicester Tigers on Friday August 22 (12pm KO) and entry is FREE for all supporters via our East Stand Tap & Tackle.

All Academy fixtures at Kingston Park during the 2025/26 season will have FREE admission.
