Another national final for Falcons’ AASE team
The Under-18s team is based at Gosforth Academy, with the AASE scheme (Achieving Academic and Sporting Excellence) combining a rugby and academic syllabus.
The national final will take place at Saracens’ Allianz Park on Wednesday December 6, with Newcastle set to play either Exeter or Gloucester (Hartpury) in the final.
The Falcons secured their place by defeating Saracens (Oaklands) 26-12 this week, and they still have a game at Kingston Park against Worcester this coming Wednesday (4pm).
Entry to the Worcester game is free of charge via the Tap & Tackle, with the AASE scheme having already helped produce Falcons first team players including current squad members Callum Chick and Jamie Blamire.
