ATTITUDE WINS THE DAY
The Falcons’ unbeaten record was hanging by a thread until debutant Noah Cato sealed a memorable victory with a try in the corner.
> Our guys showed a great attitude out there, and it was that ‘never
> say die’ attitude and perseverance that earned us the win,” said
> Richards.
He added: “Their attitude is only going to get better after today, and we will have to carry that mind-set into the Nottingham game in a couple of weeks’ time.”
Paying tribute to a Bedford outfit, who will feel aggrieved not to have been the first club this season to defeat the Falcons, Richards said: “They really gave us a game tonight and we had to dig something out at the end.
“Our tactical kicking on the evening was poor and their kicking was better than ours. That said, I was happy with our defence and full credit to our boys for preventing a team like Bedford from scoring a try – they have scored a lot of tries this year.”
