Benítez Cruz helps Pumas past All Blacks
Newcastle Red Bulls’ Simón Benítez Cruz was part of rugby history on Saturday when he played for Argentina in their first ever home win over New Zealand.
The scrum-half came on for the last quarter of the 29-23 triumph in Buenos Aires, winning his fifth test cap in the process.
The Super Rugby Americas MVP made his test debut in Los Pumas’ victory over the British & Irish Lions back in June, with his country next in action on September 6 when they face Australia in Townsville.
