Club Connections: Falcons Community Champion of the Month
Falcons Community is delighted to announce their Champion of the Month is Shaun Malarky, Whitley Bay Rockcliff Fixture Secretary.
Apart from Shaun’s uncanny resemblance to former Welsh international, Gareth Thomas, he has graced the field from 1986 to Whitley Bay Rockcliff’s present-day Veterans team. He now juggles the jigsaw of their club’s season fixtures.
Shaun is a key volunteer in our commitment to supporting our community and the Royal British Legion, by setting up and hosting a Veterans drop-in breakfast on the last Saturday morning of each month. He is also a key volunteer in arranging their Poppy Day Fixture, a fundraising event for the Royal British Legion.
Whitley Bay Rockcliff RFC is an active member of our Club Connections programme, which aims to make our community club stronger, both on and off the pitch. The club has been recognised for regularly attending match day festivals and taking opportunities to host Falcons Community coaching camps.
