Davison agrees new deal
The 26-year-old Geordie can play on both sides of the scrum and has made 34 appearances for the Falcons since joining in the summer of 2017, playing over 100 games for Blaydon in National One and earning England Counties honours before stepping up to professional level.
Playing in 13 Premiership games during his debut season and a further three this term, Davison has also played ten times in Europe, including Heineken Champions Cup starts against Edinburgh, Montpellier and Toulon this season.
Speaking after signing his new contract, he said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed stepping up to full-time rugby, it has been a big change but I feel like I’m used to it now and that I’m making a contribution.
“It was a total no-brainer in terms of signing the new contract. I’m at home, we’ve got a good group of lads and a great coaching set-up so I’m just keen to keep progressing further here and helping the club where I can.”
Director of rugby Dean Richards said: “Trevor has an outstanding work ethic and has shown what is possible for local club rugby players who have the desire and determination to make it at the professional level.
“He is a very self-less player who does the hard yards, he is always looking to improve and it’s great for us to be able to agree this new contract with a real local talent.
“I said when I first arrived at the club that we were determined to give a platform for local guys to step up and represent Newcastle Falcons, and Trevor very much embodies that philosophy.”
