Don’t Miss the Falcons Foundation Golf Day
On Thursday 30th July, the Falcons Community Foundation will host a charity golf day to raise funds for the grass roots charity that runs over 20 rugby programs throughout the region.
Those who enter a team will not only get to play at one of the finest courses in the North alongside many rugby legends, but will also have the opportunity to see the game’s biggest prize, the Web Ellis Cup.
The Rugby World Cup trophy will be arriving in Northumberland that day to mark the halfway point in its tour of the UK and Ireland, with 50 days to go until the RWC tournament begins.
The day will begin with the trophy’s arrival at the golfers’ breakfast at the No 19 Clubhouse where there will be photo opportunities before a Rugby World Cup Q&A session with local rugby legends.
After the trophy leaves to continue its tour of the North East, golfers and Legends will spend the afternoon playing Close House’s Lee Westwood Filly Course.
With individual/team competitions and a number of fantastic prizes on offer, this is expected to be a great day on the course.
