East Stand set to be a sea of colour
Coloured sheets have been left on East Stand seats for supporters to hold aloft as the teams come out of the tunnel, with all supporters in this area asked to be in their seats by 5.15pm ahead of the 5.30pm kick-off.
As well as the visual impact of the foil motif there will be pitchside fireworks greeting the two teams onto the playing surface, while the Fifth Fusilier Band will be playing pre-match music as they march around the field.
Outside of the stadium the fan plaza will be open from 12 noon on Strawberry Place behind the Gallowgate End, with free entry for all supporters.
Hosted by Heart North East’s Justin and Kelly, there will be live music, bars, street food, face-painting, competitions, mascots ans the chance to take a selfie with the Heineken Champions Cup and European Challenge Cup trophies.
