Epi Taione confirmed for Legends
Tongan wrecking ball centre Epi Taione has been confirmed as the latest legend signed up to play in the Falcons Legends v Southern Hemisphere Legends game on October 2nd, joining Michael Stephenson and Carlo del Fava as the confirmed stars.
Taione, spent five seasons at the Falcons, playing in 98 games scoring 85 points while playing in both the back row and the back line.
After leaving the Falcons in 2005, Taione went on to represent Sale Sharks, Sanyo Wild Knights, Natal Sharks, Harlequins, Racing Metro and London Welsh before retiring in 2011.
He is a founder member of APBs aka The Brothers, an invitational club that is instrumental in developing the game in the Asia and Pacific regions and is a board member of the Tongan rugby union.
In 2009, Taione also graced the silver screen, portraying Jonah Lomu in Invictus.
