European Challenge Cup – Group booking period extended
It’s not too late to get your group together for the European Challenge Cup final at St James’ Park!
Taking place on Friday 10th May, the first final of the greatest weekend in rugby sees two-time Challenge Cup winners ASM Clermont Auvergne take on La Rochelle in an all-French match that is set to provide plenty of flair.
Whether you’re making the Friday night fixture a good excuse for a works night out or coming along with your rugby club, the booking deadline extension until Friday 3rd May allows extra time to get your group together.
With ticket availability extremely limited for the Heineken Champions Cup on May 11, the Challenge Cup final offers the best way to get involved with this massive event.
Those coming in numbers of 15 or more can also earn some outstanding rewards, including free organiser tickets, merchandise and match day experiences, including the opportunity to present the man of the match award after the game.
The party gets underway from Thursday, May 9 when the Champions Rugby Village opens on the city’s iconic quayside, with rugby games, food, drink, live music and entertainment provided from 3pm.
The Champions Rugby Village will be open throughout Friday and Saturday, along with further fan space on Baltic Square, including games hosted by the Newcastle Rugby Foundation, making them the perfect spot for pre-match build-up and post-match celebrations.
Closer to the stadium, the city centre will play host to a European Food Market in the shadow of Grey’s Monument, whilst at Strawberry Place, the atmosphere will be building ahead of kick off with further refreshment opportunities in the Spectator Plaza @ St James’ on offer and BT Sport’s pre-match build up.
Prices for groups start from £15 for adults and £5 for Under 16s, offering a superb chance for those who want to be part of the biggest rugby union event in the city since the 2015 World Cup.
