The agreement will see the Suffolk-based brewer’s Greene King IPA sold in all bars at the club’s Kingston Park Stadium and supporters will be able to look forward to further additions in the beer line-up during the season, including the fastest-growing keg ale, East Coast IPA.

Furthermore, the deal will see the Greene King IPA logo appearing on the front of the Aviva Premiership club’s home shirt for the 2017/18 season.

Mick Hogan, managing director of Newcastle Falcons, said: “Greene King has been a great partner for the club and it is fantastic news that we will have its logo on our home shirt for another season.

“They are big supporters of rugby, our fans enjoy their beers and together we are looking forward to what we know will be another exciting season.”

Joe Parks, sales director at Greene King, said: “We have been working well with the club for two years now and we’re pleased our beers have gone down so well with the Falcon fans.

“Greene King IPA’s connections to rugby at a local and national level make this the ideal partnership. We look forward to continue to work closely with Newcastle Falcons as the team looks forward to an exciting new season in the Premiership.”

Newcastle Falcons’ Aviva Premiership season gets underway on Friday when Worcester Warriors are the visitors to Kingston Park Stadium in a 7.45pm kick-off.
