Newcastle Falcons had four players in the England Under-20s squad on Friday night in Pau as they won the Six Nations title in dramatic fashion.

England defeated France 41-35 on a memorable night in the Basque country, with Falcons flyer Ben Redshaw (pictured) scoring a length-of-the-field try in the opening minute of the game.

Redshaw left the field just before half-time with a failed head injury assessment, and was replaced by club-mate Oliver Spencer.

Newcastle scrum-half Ben Douglas came on from the bench in the latter stages of a dramatic game, with Falcons hooker Jacob Oliver also among the replacements.

England’s victory came after a campaign which saw them going unbeaten throughout the Six Nations, only narrowly missing out on a Grand Slam after drawing at home to Ireland in their penultimate game.
