FALCONS’ LINK WITH CUMBRIA STRENGTHENS AHEAD OF WASPS CLASH
More than 70 people will be making the trip across the A69 for the crucial Aviva Premiership clash at Kingston Park (kick-off 7.45pm). The Falcons appointed a development officer at the start of the season to oversee rugby in schools and clubs across the county. And the club is beginning to flourish throughout the county with a number of Cumbrians snapping up their tickets for this weekend’s contest.
Chairman of Carlisle RFC, Martin Plummer said: “Carlisle RFC enjoys an excellent, long standing relationship with Newcastle Falcons, having previous players from the club progressing to play for the club in the Aviva Premiership.
“Carlisle RFC coaches have for many seasons enjoyed and continue bringing youth and junior players on a regular basis to compete in festivals at Kingston Park, building strong relations with clubs across the North East.
“We are very proud to be a club that the Falcons include in their partnership working programme and we hope it continues at all ages throughout the club for a long time to come.”
