Newcastle Falcons can look forward to playing a starring role in the Aviva Premiership’s televised coverage in the New Year, as the club feature twice in the newly announced TV schedules.

The Falcons away game at Northampton Saints and home match versus London Welsh have been selected by tournament broadcaster BT Sport to form part of a bumper crop of games over the festive period.

The newly announced schedule sees some alterations to the date and time of these fixtures, with the trip to Northampton now being a Friday night fixture on January 2, while the home match against Welsh remains January 11, but now with a 2pm kick off.

The Christmas holidays promise to be a treat for the arm chair rugby fan with a wealth of top flight action on show.

Kicking off at the AJ Bell Stadium on Friday 19 December the BT Sport team will also visit Northampton Saints for the East Midlands derby with Leicester, Gloucester Rugby for the West Country derby with Bath on Saturday 20 December before heading to Wasps for the game against London Irish on December 21.

The first, incredible, weekend is followed over the Christmas period by another set of absorbing back-to-back matches on 27 December with Exeter Chiefs travelling to Bath Rugby and Harlequins hosting Northampton Saints at Twickenham Stadium in Big Game 7.

Tickets for the London Welsh match will go on sale in early December and alongside all other confirmed home matches, will be available to buy by clicking [here][1] calling 0871 226 6060 or by visiting the Kingston Park box office during office hours.
