Fanolua joins the Southern Hemisphere Legends
Terry Fanolua is the latest Southern Hemisphere legend to sign up for the opposition for October’s Legends game, joining the likes of Andre Snyman,Stefan Terblanch and Thinus Delport .
The game, scheduled for 2nd October at Kingston Park Stadium, will see the Falcons Legends take on a Southern Hemisphere XV on the eve of Scotland vs Samoa, the first Rugby World Cup game to be played in Newcastle.
Samoan international Fanoloua will be well known to long term Falcons followers, having played Aviva Premiership rugby for Gloucester over nine years from 1997 – 2006.
Over the course of his Premiership career, Fanolua made a total of 152 appearances for the Cherry and Whites and scored a total of 35 tries.
In addition to a prolific domestic career, Fanolua was capped a total of 29 times for Samoa from 1996 – 2005 after making his debut against New Zealand.
Fanolua will line up in the Southern Hemisphere Legends side facing the Falcons legends, who to date include Ben Woods, Micky Ward, Hugh Vyvyan, Tom May, Carlo del Fava, Michael Stephenson, Epi Taione and Marius Hurter for the game.
