Getting to the game: Military vs Cancer double-header

Kingston Park plays host to a Military vs Cancer double-header this Saturday June 22 (1pm & 3:15pm KOs) with the North of England Select XV and UK Army Forces RFC going head-to-head in both a men’s and women’s fixture.

Joining us? Here’s everything you need to know about getting to Kingston Park for the showcase event, with gates opening from 12pm.

DRIVING

Directions from the A1:

  • Take the Airport exit.
  • At the roundabout take the exit signposted for Kingston Park.
  • Go straight over two roundabouts, under the Metro bridge and take the first right onto Brunton Road.
  • After 400 metres the stadium is on your left.

PARKING

Stadium car parking is still available for the event and can be purchased for £10.

Please be reminded that local parking restrictions are in place on the surrounding streets, meaning that anyone parking on the main road or in the housing estates near to Kingston Park Stadium will receive a ticket.

TYNE & WEAR METRO

Supporters are advised that there will be NO METROS running between Airport and South Gosforth in either direction due to level crossing works taking place.

A replacement bus service number 901 will be running, so please allow extra time for your journey.

BUS

From Eldon Square in the city centre, Stagecoach run the X47 bus route which can drop you off directly outside of Kingston Park stadium in just over 20 minutes.

On Saturday buses run every 15 minutes throughout the day and every 30 minutes in the evening. A full route can be found below.

Single tickets are just £2 for adults and 60p for under-16s.

You can also grab yourself a day pass for only £4.50 for adults and £1.10 for under-16s, giving you unlimited travel on match-day.

If you’re a student, you can also save up to 40% on unlimited bus travel with the Stagecoach Student Travel Card.
