Goneva shortlisted for Premiership award
The Fijian scored a hat-trick at Sale Sharks in his first February outing, helping the Falcons to defeat Northampton Saints before scoring a try in his final February appearance at Exeter Chiefs.
Goneva has led the Opta stats for ‘metres made’ every week for the past three rounds of Aviva Premiership action, also topping the charts for carries and clean breaks.
The winger has already won the Falcons players’ player of the month award for February, in associating with David Summerfield Jewellers and Citizen, and finds himself up against fellow finishers Denny Solomona (Sale Sharks) and James Short (Exeter Chiefs) for the Premiership’s monthly award.
